BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT

Biomechanics Care for Adults

If you have pain or discomfort when you stand, walk or run, your podiatrist can advise you and help you recover from injuries that affect walking, such as ankle sprains, tendon ruptures or fractures.

Our podiatrists are trained to assess your movement from the hips to the toes, they can analyse your walk, interpreting your unique gait. The Podiatry Clinic also uses high-precision medical scanners like emed® and pedar®, which measure pressures acting on the foot, ankle, knee and hip.

Once the podiatrist has assessed your condition, they will design a plan to get you pain-free as quickly as possible. This may include a prescription of orthotics (insoles) and many involve stretching or strengthening exercises to help your recovery.

The pedcad custom orthotics are designed with your individual diagnosis and foot posture in mind. The orthotics are manufactured on site, with digital input from expert pedorthic designers in Germany.
